Beth has been in the insurance industry since 1990. She is a licensed property and casualty agent. She joined Standard Insurance in 2001 as a Commercial  Account Manager Assistant. Her primary focus is on Commercial Claims and Certificate of Insurance. She thrives on providing fast, accurate, and outstanding customer service to the agency clients. She is currently working on her CBIA designation (Certified Builders Insurance Agent), and plans to pursue her CISR designation in the near future. She currently resides in Raleigh and has 2 grown children. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, exercising, exploring greenways, 5Ks, spending time at the beach, and traveling out West. She is a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and participates in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Annual Fundraiser.

Kristin joined Standard Insurance in September 2008 as our agency receptionist and received her Property Casualty license in 2009. Once licensed, Kristin became an account manager for our Personal Lines Department. Constantly growing, she obtained Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation in 2013. Later that year, she was moved to our Commercial Lines Department . In this position, Kristin demonstrated her abilities and was promoted to Commercial Lines Account Manager in May of 2016. 

Kristin resides in Dortches with her husband Jake, and their three children. She enjoys spending time with her family, both at the beach and the mountains, and volunteering for school events for their children. Kristin hopes to work toward her CPCU designation in the future.

Licensed since 2000, she joined Standard in January 2003 as a Customer Service Agent, moving into a sales role in 2005 focused on Commercial and Personal Insurance. In 2011, she earned her CBIA (Certified Builders Insurance Agent) designation. Within her agency, Dawn skillfully balances dual roles: supporting John T. Smith in managing his accounts and driving sales across North Carolina while attentively serving her own clients’ needs.
 
While specializing in the healthcare sector, serving long-term care facilities, hospices, assisted living centers, and more, Dawn is equipped to assist all sectors requiring insurance. In 2019, Dawn and her husband, Peter, a retired U.S. Coast Guard Chief, relocated to Brevard, NC. Together, they enjoy an active lifestyle, indulging in camping, hiking, kayaking, live music, fly fishing, and gardening. A proud mother to her grown daughter, Madison, Dawn values quality “unplugged” time with her family.
 
A passionate community advocate, Dawn has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, Veterans Residential Services, the Red Cross, and the Rocky Mount Area United Way. She has also served as President’s Council Ambassador for the Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce and is a former member of the Lions Club and Wilson Jaycees, demonstrating her lifelong commitment to making a meaningful impact.

Caitlin Wooten joined Standard Insurance in early 2009, obtaining her Property and Casualty Insurance License in August of that same year. She has her CBIA (Certified Builders Insurance Agent) and CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative) designations. Caitlin lives in Emerald Isle, NC with her husband Brent and two daughters - Harper & Kennedy. Caitlin and her husband are huge advocates for local community programs where they spend time coordinating, coaching and fundraising for multiple sports.

Katie Trahan began a professional journey in the insurance industry in September 2013. Prior to that, she also had 20 years of invaluable experience in office administration and marketing. She obtained her Property & Casualty (P & C) license in 2013, embarking on a new career path that would combine her expertise, determination, and passion for serving others.

While establishing a new career in the insurance world, she also earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Fayetteville State University in 2017. 

For the next decade, she worked at an Independent Agency in Fayetteville, initially specializing in Personal Lines for eight years before transitioning to Commercial Lines for the final two years. During this time, she also attained her Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation. 

After a brief but meaningful hiatus to focus on family, she rejoined the insurance industry, joining Standard Insurance in March 2025. As a part of the Commercial Department, her goal is to bring her experience and a client-centered approach to every interaction.

On a personal note, Katie shares a rich life with her husband, Eben, to whom she’s been married to for 21 of their 25 years together. Eben is a dedicated entrepreneur, running his own successful lawn care business. Together, they have built a beautiful family with four children—Kaela, Justin, Eva, and Jessica—whose ages range from 25 to 28, and a cherished 5-year-old grandson, Elijah. Outside of work, her and her husband enjoy traveling, particularly to the mountains. Her other hobbies include swimming, gardening, and cherishing time spent with loved ones, both family and friends.
