contracting risks. I also have a background in property and liability claims with large contracting
risks. In addition to holding a property & casualty license, I am also a licensed insurance broker and
work with clients to implement long-term client valued services, which helps lower a client's total
cost of risk, making them more profitable and more attractive to the insurance marketplace. "

Bill Pitt has been a licensed Property and Casualty insurance agent since 1995. In 1990, he graduated
from the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in
Business Administration. Following graduation, Bill began his insurance career with AEtna Property
& Casualty in Atlanta, Georgia in the Commercial Claims Department. While working for AEtna, he
graduated from the AEtna Institute of Insurance in Hartford, Connecticut in 1991. His last position with
AEtna was Senior Claims Adjuster. Bill has been in the commercial property & casualty business in
Wilmington, NC since 1995.

Bill joined Standard Insurance & Realty as a partner in 2006. Bill has obtained the Accredited Advisor of
Insurance (AAI), Associate in Claims (AIC) and Certified Builders Insurance Agent (CBIA)
professional designations and is currently completing his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter
(CPCU) professional designation. He and his wife Mary-Emily reside in Wilmington, North Carolina
and have three children.
